Insights with Cyrill Bless, Head of Marketing: How dine&shine supports its partner locations in Zurich and Switzerland with targeted marketing measures.

 

Cyrill, how does dine&shine use strategic partnerships with event locations to optimize the catering offer?

We see every collaboration with an event location as an opportunity to present our catering offer in the best possible way. These partnerships are based on mutual benefit, whereby we not only offer first-class event catering, but also use targeted marketing campaigns and sponsorship to push the visibility and success of our partner locations in the Zurich region and throughout Switzerland.

 

What specific marketing support do you offer the event locations?

We actively increase the visibility and profile of our partner locations through recommendations in response to customer inquiries and integration into our sales activities. This includes classic measures such as presentations at trade fairs and social media activities. Our extensive reach on all channels certainly plays an important role here.However, we also organize exclusive events and networking events where our partner locations have the opportunity to present themselves to potential customers. At the end of February, for example, we organized a spectacular customer event at ENTRA in Rapperswil, where around 200 guests in ski suits danced to classic hut tunes. That was really good!

 

How do you ensure that your marketing strategies match the specific characteristics of each event location?

We tailor our marketing efforts to the unique characteristics and needs of each location. This includes professional photo and video shoots on location as well as including the locations in our newsletters, which we send out to over 3000 subscribers. We try to emphasize the USP's of the locations and show which events are particularly well suited to the location due to various factors. In all our activities, we make sure to interweave the corporate wordings of the venues and dine&shine.

 

Do you personally have a favorite location?

Of course, it depends very much on what kind of event is to take place. Basically, I love locations that have a history and stand out thanks to their spectacular architecture and materials. But diplomatic as I am: I prefer to keep my personal favorite to myself;)

 

Finally, what advice would you give to someone who wants to be successful in the event catering sector in Switzerland?

It is important to recognize and cultivate the importance of partnerships based on trust and mutual understanding. Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to new trends and customer requirements are also key to delivering the right results. Customers also want reliability and consistency in the key factors of their events - and hospitality certainly plays a central role here.
