The Best of Swiss Gastro Sunset Party took place on August 24, 2020 at the Traumgarten in Thalwil in compliance with hygiene and protective measures. The who's who of the gastronomy scene came together and spent a great summer evening with good conversation and numerous culinary highlights. The evening was hosted by Sven Epiney.
From start to finish
... a culinary delight. Our beef fillet tartare with truffle mayonnaise and lime gel on mini brioche, ceviche of perch on pea puree with white chocolate and chili on cornbread, smoked lemon salmon on thyme sable and vegan cream cheese of dried tomatoes with candied rosemary on olive bread made for a brilliant start.
For the main course, our guests could choose between popular dishes from the smoker, the fire ring and the wood-fired oven. Pulled pork burger, crispy gilthead fillet, served with avocado salad with rocket, lemon dressing and roasted walnuts, marinated fillets of monkfish, fried mini lettuce or oriental couscous and pinsa with various toppings.
We served the desserts on the fly: coconut ice cream in a glass with blue curacao, pineapple and passion fruit salad and macadamia crunch, vanilla and caramel ice cream with stewed apples, butter crumble and chocolate crunch and a mini apple strudel with vanilla espuma and raisin chutney.
