For the first time, we were not at the stove ourselves, but coordinated those who were responsible for the catering for the 15,000 guests. The occasion was an open day at Motorex in the industrial district of Langenthal (BE). The lubricant manufacturer was celebrating its 100th anniversary. An event for the whole family, framed by numerous concerts by up-and-coming Swiss bands, daring motor shows and hands-on activities for young and old. To cater for this huge number of guests, we developed a comprehensive street food concept over several weeks as the general catering contractor. We commissioned and coordinated 16 different and national street food providers for the implementation. They offered visitors classic and popular dishes in their food trucks. The offerings ranged from popular burgers, racy chili con carne and hot dogs to classic grilled dishes. In addition, 10,000 liters of beer, 12,000 PET bottles and 6,000 cups of coffee were sold.
